The 2018 China (Shanghai) International Boat Show (CIBS 2018) is gearing up for its 23rd edition with more exhibitors, conferences, newer initiatives and an expected turnout of over 40,000 visitors.
As the biggest boat show in Asia, the event will explore all aspects of the boating industry from yachting culture, maritime lifestyles, watersports, water tourism, accessories, equipment and entertainment.
The show, which runs from April 26-29 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, will feature more than 550 exhibitors. Thematic areas covering watersports, lure fishing and wellness/fitness will provide an immersive experience for visitors.
Established equipment firms such as Hidea China, Tritex Fujian Fuding Jiapan General Parts and Steyr Motors have already booked space at the show, while industry players Jet Set Investment, Brunswick Trading, Jiangsu Meihong, Hainan Xinghan Yacht Developed and Qingdao Matrix Parker Yacht have also registered with larger booths ahead of schedule.
Other exhibitors will include Shanghai Double Happiness, Speedo, Yamaha Motor, Brunswick, Oriental Recreational and Suzhou Palm Bay. International firms showing their latest models will be the Beneteau Group, Quick SpA, Storm Force, Alamarin-Jet Oy and Ultraflex.
CIBS2018 will also see a repeat of the popular Matchmaking Program – a global networking platform for suppliers and buyers in the boating industry. Organised by CIBS and the China Boat Industry & Trade Association (CBITA), the program connects pre-screened suppliers with premier buyers who are sourcing for boating-related items.
