One of the UK’s leading marine industry media agencies is under new management as of earlier this month. ADPR, which was formed over 25 years ago by Alice Driscoll, has been sold to Kate and James O’Sullivan.

Kate O’Sullivan has been the company’s managing director since November 2016 and James, a chartered accountant, will take up the role of finance director.

Since being established, ADPR has built up a strong presence in the UK marine sector – especially its leisure side. Under Kate O’Sullivan, the management team has enabled ADPR to diversify and the agency now has a range of clients from the marine, health, well-being, tourism and outdoor sectors. Clients include Britt’s Superfoods, Fusion Entertainment, Clarks Village, Fairline Yachts, Sleep Well, Sunsail and Helly Hansen.

“I am pleased to now be the owner of ADPR, an agency I have worked at for over 12 years and have run for the past year,” says O’Sullivan. “Under the new ownership of myself and James, we will ensure continuity for clients and staff and a smooth succession for the company. Myself and the management team at ADPR have been working closely to secure the long-term future of the company, enabling it to develop further with a host of new service offerings whilst remaining true to our core skills set.”

Alice Driscoll says: “This is a great development for ADPR and ensures a successful long-term future for the company, its employees and its clients. Kate and I started working together in 2005, and her progression to managing director and now owner, ensures the continuation of a successful business which is widely respected.

“I’m really pleased to see the company going from strength-to-strength, thanks to its new leadership and continued hard work and support from all the team,” she adds.
