Marine Resources, the UK’s leading provider of bespoke recruitment and headhunting services for the leisure marine industry, has confirmed that it will once again sponsor the ‘Best Apprenticeship and Training Scheme’ award category at this year’s Boat Builder Awards for Business Achievement.

Organised jointly by IBI and METSTRADE, the Boat Builder Awards are held in association with Raymarine and are attended by senior members of some of the best-known boatbuilding brands in the world.

The winners will be announced on November 13 at a prestigious gala dinner in Amsterdam’s National Maritime Museum during the 2018 METSTRADE Show.

The award for Best Apprenticeship or Training Scheme will highlight the exceptional work carried out by many international boatbuilders in developing essential skills for new and existing employees and partners. Last year’s winner in this category went to Sunseeker International.

"At Marine Resources Recruitment we are proud to play a major role in recruiting for leading boatbuilders, including the superyacht sector, and this award highlights the excellent work these companies undertake in helping develop essential skills in trades such as carpentry, GRP laminating, deck fitting and plumbing to name a few," says MD James Ward. "We hope this award helps to promote these training and apprenticeship schemes, and in turn encourage more young people to consider a career within the boatbuilding and marine industry."

The 2018 edition of the Boat Builder Awards for Business Achievement, in association with Raymarine, is open for nominations in 10 categories. Entry is free and easily accessed via the boatbuilderawards.com website, which offers clear explanations of each category.

Nominations for the Best Apprenticeship or Training Scheme can be submitted here until September 21, 2018.
