Mercury Marine Canada has marked a significant milestone this month as the company’s main distribution facility in Milton, Ontario logged one million hours of no lost time due to injury.

The Milton site, which serves as Mercury’s headquarters in Canada with 58 employees, has been injury-free since 2010.

“By assuring a safe work environment, developing and promoting safe work practices, continually improving processes, and engaging the entire team in working safely every day, our team in Canada has built a solid foundation for continued success,” says Mercury Marine president, John Pfeifer.

“Achieving this record over the length of time in which it has occurred is a testimony to the sustainability of our safety culture, reflecting our value for our employees, our customers and the communities where we conduct business.”

The Milton site houses the company’s finished goods, P&A and Land ‘N’ Sea Canada distribution businesses.
