The third edition of the MYBA Montenegro Pop-up Show, which opened today and runs until September 10, has attracted over 20 superyachts and nearly 100 delegates from around a dozen countries. The event is being held at Port Montenegro marina.

The 2017 event will be the last to receive full sponsorship from MYBA, as it will possibly move to a new location in 2018. IBI understands that several locations in the Mediterranean have expressed an interest in holding the event.

The superyacht fleet on display includes five sailing yachts and 16 motoryachts. They range in size from the 23m (76ft) Mowana to the 66.7m (219ft) Golden Shadow. There are seven yachts between 20m-29.9m, six in the 30m-39.9m range, five in the 40m-49.9m range and two of 50m and above.

MYBA’s aim behind the Pop-up show is to promote the Adriatic and other areas of the Mediterranean for charter, highlight some of the yachts active in the market, and build relationships between brokers, service providers and crew. Among the near 100 delegates are some 60 brokers from 27 brokerage houses including IYC, Frasers, Northrop & Johnson, CNI, YPI, Ocean Partners International and CSO Yachts.

Around 20 service providers are represented which collectively cover a wide range of activities appropriate to the local yachting market. Among these are international brands like BWA, Pantaenius, OneOcean Port Vell Marina, and East Med Yachting, plus several local businesses. The service spread includes marinas, surveyors, insurers, yacht agency boat sales and charters.
