Franco-Italian engine manufacturer Nanni has formed a new strategic partnership with Swedish engine firm, Scania.

Both companies have decided to join forces, capitalising on their unique skills, to enhance opportunities for leisure and commercial marine applications.

The agreement significantly strengthens Nanni’s product base, with an increased maximum power output now reaching 1,200hp, targeting vessels from 50ft-80ft.

Scanaia engines benefit from the company’s impressive experience in truck and bus manufacturing, offering state-of-the-art technology, best in class power-to-weight ratio, and outstanding fuel efficiency.

Nanni has developed two engines as part of their new Platinum series – the N13, a 13lt inline six-cylinder engine, and the N16, a 16lt V8.

The Platinum Series engines will be packaged as a complete Nanni turnkey solution, handled and serviced through the company’s dedicated network worldwide, and will be compliant with the latest emissions regulations, such as EPA Tier 3 and RCD2.

The Nanni N13 Platinum series engine will be launched at the 2018 Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
