Nautor’s Swan has appointed Giulio Bertani as Regional Director for Americas as part of its strategic expansion plans. Bertani started sailing in the Gulf of Trieste with a 12-foot wooden dinghy and continued to race in different IOR classes with various boats.
In 1980, before funding his own yard constructing Star class keelboats and specialist carbon prototypes in epoxy resin, he spent two years as Nautor’s Swan Service & Warranty Operations Manager. He entered the world of power boats in the late ‘80s working as Sales Manager for major shipyards such as Tecnomarine, Posillipo, Canados, Baglietto and Sanlorenzo.
“I am very excited and honored to provide Nautor’s Swan with my experience,” commented Bertani. “Nautor’s Swan offered me the first opportunity to enter the nautical industry at the end of the 70s, so it is a matter of pride to close the circle and go back to where I left. I am happy to be part of a dynamic, close-knit, efficient and organized team whose values and passions I share and with whom I hope to contribute to the successes.”.
“Giulio’s long and professional yachting experience and his passion for Swan is the perfect recipes to develop one of the most important markets in the world.” Declared Sebastiano Fanizza Nautor’s Swan Commercial Director.
2018 is set to be a busy year for the builder with the build of the new high-performance racing ClubSwan 125 build well underway, along with two Swan 78’s planned for launch in the Spring (and another two following) plus the latest Swan 54’s and ClubSwan 50 to be completed. Moreover, the yard is moving fast in the construction of three new Swan 65’s (the first will be exhibited at Düsseldorf 2019). New Maxi Swan Yachts are also on the drawing board.
