Adler Yacht, the newly launched Swiss yacht-builder, has promoted Philipp Pototschnik to the role of chief executive officer.
Pototschnik, who joined the company in March 2017 as sales and marketing manager, takes the helm from Alessandro Barizzi. His key task is to lead Adler’s further development and promote expansion in various regional markets.
“It is my great honour and pleasure to have Philipp Pototschnik as the new CEO of Adler Yacht,” says company founder Alexander Vagacs. “Philipp has shown in the past months great enthusiasm and efforts in getting the best for the company, and moving this forward.”
Raised in Austria and Italy, Pototschnik is proficient in German, Italian, English, Spanish, French and Russian. His cultural background is perfectly suited to Adler Yacht, a Swiss brand that builds yachts at Cantieri Alto Adriatico in Monfalcone near Trieste, Italy. He has previously worked in web marketing and development, renewable energy, and the health and luxury sectors.
Also joining Adler Yacht as international sales and marketing director is Esmeralda Fernandes De Sá, a highly experienced professional in sales of aircraft and a well-known expert in the luxury market and aviation. Fluent in several languages, including Portuguese, German, Serbian, Croatian, French and Spanish, she has worked in the aviation industry in Austria since 1989, most recently at Cessna Citation and Embraer.
Adler claims to be the first yacht-builder to combine automotive, aviation and marine technology in one single yacht. The new management team will be taking its improved Adler Suprema HYBRID to the Cannes Yachting Festival next month, where the 23m full-carbon yacht will be available for the first-ever organised boat tests.
