Phase 1 of Ayia Napa Marina in Cyprus, which will include 600 berths, a boatyard as well as shops, restaurants and other amenities, will be completed in 2019.
According to the Cyprus Mail Online, the €220m project, in which the Egyptian investor Naguib Sawiris’ Gemini Real Estate Ltd has an 80% stake and the Cyprus-based Caramondanis Group a 20% stake, is scheduled to be to be finished completely by 2021.
Phase 2 will include the construction of 190 luxury apartments in two twisting-shaped towers. There will also be 29 villas. The east tower is expected to be finished in 2020 and the west tower in 2021. According to the Cyprus Mail, 20% of the project was sold by end of January 2017.
Cyprus currently has three marinas – Limassol, St Raphael and Larnaca – although there are plans for two more in Paphos and Paralimni.
The marina in Larnaca, which is adjacent to the port, was recently given the green light to be completely rebuilt.
