Roger Johansson, CEO and president of Dometic, is to leave his position with the company at the end of the year. Dometic’s board of directors has named Juan Vargues as the incoming CEO. Vargues is currently head of the Entrance Systems division at Assa Abloy.
Johansson said in a statement that he was leaving Dometic after five “intense” years. “I still have a lot of heart for the company, but now is a good moment for a new leader to continue Dometic’s fantastic journey ahead,” he said.
“Roger has achieved an outstanding transformation of the company, with the IPO in 2015 as an important milestone,” said Fredrik Cappelen, chairman of the board at Dometic, in a statement. “Today, the company stands very strong and now enters the next phase. With Juan’s strong business experience and proven leadership, I and the board have found a very suitable leader for the next phase in the company’s development.”
Before Assa Abloy, Vargues had worked as president and CEO of the Besam Group and has held several positions within the SKF group.
