ICON Yachts in the Netherlands has unveiled details of its new 84m superyacht currently under construction at its Harlingen yard – the ICON 280.

The secretive project designed by Tim Heywood is now listed on the market, presenting a unique opportunity for potential owners to obtain a yacht of this size and pedigree.

Owners can take delivery just 24 months following the signing – substantially less time than usual for an 80m-plus vessel of Dutch pedigree, ICON claims. It allows owners a rare opportunity to customise the interior design.

The yacht can accommodate up to 19 guests in several cabins – 12 when operating under commercial rules. The 126sq m master stateroom, located on the Upper Deck, incorporates sea balconies and expansive glazing for 270-degree vistas.

Jen Wartena, CEO at ICON Yachts, says: “The ICON 280 is a yacht of the very best quality, ready to sail anywhere in the world. She boasts an imaginative interior, with surfaces and finishes that catapult this yacht into the next decade. Contemporary yet timeless, she is befitting of the most discerning owner or guest.”

The ICON 280 also boasts a touch-and-go Heli Deck and large infinity pool aft, all benefiting from naval architecture by Van Oossanen.

The price of the ICON 280 is available upon application and delivery is scheduled for late spring/summer 2020. More information and images will be revealed soon, says ICON.
