The International Federation of Boat Show Organisers elected Andrew Williams, managing director of National Boat Shows in the UK, as its new president at its global congress in Barcelona this month.

Williams takes over following two years of Bengt Wallin of the Swedish International Boat Show as president.

IFBSO and the International Council of Marine Industry associations (ICOMIA) also forged new agreements at the congress to jointly develop and promote boat shows around the world. The two organisations come together for a joint congress each year.

IFBSO was founded in 1964. Its secretariat is based in Surrey, UK.
