The NMMA said that attendance at three of four of its recent boat shows increased compared to last year. Its Progressive Insurance Baltimore Boat Show, which ran from January 25-28, reported the largest attendance since 2009. Its 14,628 attendees represented an 8% gain over last year’s show. The show had its first “Super Thursday”, which offered steep discounts for the day.

The New York Boat Show saw a 2% drop in attendance to 42,419 compared to last year. The trade association said that number was up 4% when averaging the last three years.

The Progressive Insurance Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow saw an 11% increase compared to last year, with 41,431 attendees.

The Progressive Insurance Chicago Travel, Fishing and Outdoors Show saw an attendance of 20,055, up 4% from 2017.
