The NMMA announced that it is rescheduling the San Francisco Boat Show because of El Niño storms. The show was scheduled to run next week, but will now be held from April 29-May 1 at Pier 48 and McCovey Cove.

“El Niño is wreaking havoc in San Francisco with unprecedented rain and flooding, creating unsafe conditions which are preventing us from producing the kind of boat show our exhibitors and attendees have come to expect,” said Dave Geoffroy, vice president of NMMA West, in a statement. “April’s weather is much more ideal while offering an improved selling environment for exhibitors.” Geoffroy said his association consulted with exhibitors before making the decision to reschedule.

Recent National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reports suggest El Niño will strengthen throughout the winter and decrease in severity in the spring.
