One of Turkey’s leading businessmen, Mustafa Koç, died of a heart attack today.

Mustafa Koç is the eldest son of Rahmi Koc and has served as chairman of the board of the family's Koç Holding since 2003. The conglomerate has interests in a number of industry sectors, including energy, finance, automotive and marine. The latter includes RMK Shipyard in Istanbul and the Setur Marinas chain.

Born in 1960, Mustafa Koç is a third generation member of the Koç family. He was appointed president of Koç Holding in 2003, replacing his retired father Rahmi Koç.
