Communication and safety at sea specialist Ocean Signal has named Rich Galasso as its new US sales manager.

Galasso has more than 20 years’ experience in the marine industry. His professional background includes sales manager roles at West Marine, Standard Horizon and Uniden, where he helped to increase dealer networks, grow sales and market presence, and successfully introduce new product lines.

Prior to joining Ocean Signal, he served as regional distribution manager with satellite communications and tracking leader Globalstar/SPOT.

We are confident that his extensive experience in the industry and proven success as a sales manager will help drive up sales and increase our market presence in this important market,” says James Hewitt, Ocean Signal sales and marketing manager.

Galasso will specifically focus on increasing sales of Ocean Signal’s rescueME range of safety products, the AIS Alarm Box, the new M100 MSLD and the company’s SafeSea range of GMDSS products, consisting of the S100 SART, V100 VHF and E100G EPIRB.
