Finnish electric propulsion specialist Oceanvolt has signed a two-way agreement with Victron Energy in the Netherlands that will see the two companies integrate their products to work as a unified system, which will form the base of Oceanvolt’s SEA (Silent Electric Autonomy) concept.

Oceanvolt's SEA system enables, among other things, running A/C and other appliances without using a generator by converting the electricity from the propulsion system battery into 220VAC.

Oceanvolt will offer systems that use Victron Energy's charger/inverters, solar charger controllers and other electric components together with its propulsion system.

"Victron Energy's products perfectly complement our propulsion system and together they offer our customers the comforts of home while at sea," says Oceanvolt CEO Timo Jaakkola.

Oceanvolt designs and manufactures electric propulsion systems for catamarans and sailboats. The company is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland.
