The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has reported rising wholesale outboard shipments in both the USA and Canada through July. Retail sales of outboards were also up during that period.

The marine trade association said that US outboard engine shipments were up 3.7% year-over-year for the 12 months through July. Gains were led by four-strokes and higher-powered engines. Retail sales based on warranty card registrations were up 10.3% for the period.

In Canada, wholesale shipments of outboards were up 10.4% YOY for the 12 months through July. Corresponding dollars were up 11.3% for that period. Warranty card registrations were up 2.9% for the period.
