UK-based boat transporter Peters & May has renewed its sponsorship of Antigua Sailing Week to include both the 2019 and 2020 events.
Selected as a preferred supplier for yacht transport to Antigua Sailing Week, Peters & May will offer shipping discounts to all boats racing in the event.
“As participants’ post-Antigua Sailing Week schedules become increasingly busy, return sailings to the US, Europe and Mediterranean grow in popularity every year," says Alison Sly-Adams, commercial director of Antigua Sailing Week.
"The service Peters & May offers is therefore an essential part of the options we offer to our competitors.”
Antigua Sailing Week is said to be the Caribbean’s most prestigious regatta, attracting over 100 participating yachts annually.
Craig Stanbury, Peters & May’s global operations director, says: “Every year Antigua Sailing Week grows in popularity and as a specialist in racing yacht and leisure boat transport, participants across the globe trust us to ship their yachts home after competing. This year, we had a record-breaking shipment at the end of the Caribbean season with 52 yachts loaded onto just one of the vessels.”
It is through the Peters & May Round Antigua Race that sponsorship of Antigua Sailing Week is executed. The Peters & May Round Antigua Race will take place on April 27, 2019, including the classes of CSA, Multihull, Classics and new for 2019 – a double-handed class.
