As part of its international expansion plans, Polish catamaran builder Sunreef Yachts has opened a new shipyard in Dubai.
“The local shipyard will start by producing, among others, the latest models from our company’s portfolio, the 40 Open Sunreef Power motor catamaran,” says Karolina Paszkiewicz, the company’s PR and marketing director. “We were persuaded the Middle East region has potential, which is why we’ve decided to launch this investment.”
Production at the shipyard will be coordinated by engineers from Sunreef Yachts.
Paszkiewicz said that, thanks to the investment, Sunreef is moving production closer to its customers and will also be able to accelerate deliveries to Asian markets.
Headquartered in Gdansk on Poland’s Baltic Sea, Sunreef Yachts was founded by French businessman Francis Lapp, who also serves as president of the management board. The company has a workforce of more than 500 employees.
