Argentina’s boatbuilding trade association CACEL has announced that the 10th edition of the Argentina Boat Show (Salón Náutico Argentino) fulfilled the expectations with over 25,000 people passing through its door during the 10-day event.

The number is slightly down compared to the 2012 result. The weather didn’t help the show organiser as it was cold and rainy. “We sold out on exhibition space and the mood on the floor was positive,” a CACEL spokesperson commented.

The event, held at the Parque Náutico in San Fernando, a borough in Buenos Aires' northern outskirts, featured 85 exhibitors over a a 3,000sq m indoor facility and 8,000sq m of outdoor space including 350m of floating slips for showcasing boats on the water.

CACEL has also announced that plans are underway for the 21st edition of the biennial show to be held in March 2017.
