Pursuit Boats will receive US$50,000 for two years from St. Lucie County in exchange for creating 30 new jobs, retaining 376 employees and completing a US$2.1m expansion, according to TCPalm.com. The company announced an expansion to its facilities in May. It would add 14,000 square feet to its facilities in Port St. Lucie, and increase production by as much as 50%.

"It really makes sense for us to stay in St. Lucie County because we already have a trained labor force and we are fully operational," David Glenn, company marketing director, told the website.

The builder of outboard-powered fishing boats and cruisers would also receive reductions in property taxes for six years.
