In response to customer requests for a new-style motoryacht with extended cruising capabilities and ease of handling with minimal crew, Riviera has introduced its 68 Sports Motor Yacht featuring a complete Twin Disc helm solution as standard equipment.

At 75ft LOA and a beam of nearly 20ft, the 50-tonne vessel requires the instant and precise control offered by the Twin Disc system for safe manoeuvrability.

Powered by twin MAN V12s, the 68 Sports Motor Yacht comes stocked with Twin Disc QuickShift transmissions, hydraulic thrusters, EC300 Power Commander Electronic Control and the Express Joystick System, which responds instantly, proportionate to the pressure exerted on the stick. Intuitive to use, the vessel moves forward, back and diagonally, and will spin on its own axis. The system delivers a high level of confidence when manoeuvring in close quarters.

A unique feature of the Twin Disc solution is Express Positioning, which, at the touch of a button, holds the 68 Sports Motor Yacht's position no matter the wind or current.

The 68 Sports Motor Yacht is a distinct design and is touted as excelling at everything from sport fishing to passagemaking, with accommodation for up to eight in four cabins. Built to CE Category A standards, it will reach over 31kt, yet at 8.2kt burns just 6.6 gallons of fuel per hour.

Celebrating its 100th anniversary, Twin Disc makes marine transmissions, joystick and electronic controls, Arneson Surface Drives, Rolla propellers and other high-performance equipment used on recreational, commercial and naval vessels worldwide.
