Italian superyacht builder Sanlorenzo has strengthened its Middle East presence through the signing of a dealership agreement with Royal Yachts, one of the region’s leading yacht sales and marketing firms. Royal Yachts, working for Sanlorenzo, will be branded as Sanlorenzo Middle East.

According to Sanlorenzo, the agreement fulfills the growing demand for crafted tailor-made motoryachts in the region. “Our made-to-measure approach has always been appealing for refined owners from the Middle East area and we believe that the partnership with Royal Yachts is a strategic step in the growth of our brand in this important market," says Massimo Perotti, chairman and CEO.
Antonio Santella, VP of sales and marketing for Sanlorenzo, told IBI at the Dubai International Boat Show that the Middle East market is very important to the company. Santella also commented on the success of Dusseldorf. “We had a very good Dusseldorf show and our sales included two 44m (144ft) yachts and we previously sold a 62m (203ft) to a British client. In terms of the SX88 we have now sold 13 of these and the fifth one will be delivered in March.”
