Suntex Marinas in the US has appointed Jeff Padilla to the role of general manager of Wolf Creek Marina on Lake Cumberland, Kentucky.

A lifelong resident of Russell County, in which the lake is located, Padilla’s most recent position was general manager of the Jamestown Resort and Marina. Prior to that post, he spent 17 years in management with Fruit of the Loom. He currently sits on the County Tourism Board as a member and is the chairperson of the Russell County Ethics Board.

“Not only does Jeff have decades of management experience, but he is extremely familiar with the area and his local knowledge will be a benefit to his guests and staff,” says Ron TenEyck, VP of operations at Suntex Marinas.

Along with Padilla, two of Suntex’s regional managers, Dennis Smith and Wesley Evans, are highly involved with the day-to-day operations at the Lake Cumberland properties. Smith and Evans are long-time veterans in the marine industry and have also lived in the Lake Cumberland area for many years.

Wolf Creek Marina has 209 slips on Cumberland Lake. The property features a fully-stocked marine store, restaurant, bath houses, fuel pumps, pump-out facilities, water taxis and boat rental operation.

The Suntex portfolio of 45 marinas are located in California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
