UK-based Fintech firm Centtrip has named Ben Thorne as head of Centtrip Marine. Thorne will focus on strengthening Centtrip Marine’s brand by growing its client base and refining bespoke services for superyacht companies and affluent individuals who use Centtrip’s platform for treasury management, international payments, card expenditure and foreign-exchange services.

He brings many years of experience in business development, sales and publishing to the role.

Established in 2015 by financial industry veterans Tony North and Brian Jamieson, Centtrip offers an innovative multi-currency account, app and prepaid card, allowing corporates and affluent individuals to buy and sell currencies using live-market rates.

Centtrip’s prepaid Mastercard enables clients to hold funds in up to 15 currencies at one time and make payments online or in store worldwide and free of charge. The company offers industry-specific products and services, including in the marine and music industries.
