US Congressman Austin Scott, a House Vice-Chairman of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, recently paid a visit to the headquarters of marine exhaust systems manufacturer Centek Industries in Thomasville, Georgia.

Scott, currently in his fourth term representing Georgia’s 8th Congressional District (which includes Centek’s headquarters), is a leading advocate in Washington for protecting the rights of recreational boaters and fishermen.

His visit to Centek included a plant tour and roundtable discussion with Centek employees on a wide range of issues of concern to Centek and the marine industry, including healthcare reform, taxes and burdensome federal regulations.

“We really appreciated the time Rep Scott took out of his busy schedule to not only learn about our business, but also about the challenges facing our business and our industry,” says Centek CEO Bill Hodges.
