G&T Industries has acquired Crane Interiors. Financial terms were not disclosed.
G&T Industries is headquartered in Byron Center, Michigan, and is 100% employee owned. It focuses on foam/rubber fabrication, contract assembly, sewing-upholstery and other processes for a global client base. Crane Interiors in Woodbury, Tennessee, is a marine sewing and upholstery business that has been in business since 1984.
"Crane has been a customer of G&T for many years the people in both businesses know each other very well,” said Roland Grit, G&T CEO, in a statement. "The acquisition allows G&T to move up the value chain within the marine industry. The values fit between the two organizations is solid, which should support a smooth business transition."
Crane, which employs 180, will remain in its Tennessee facilities. The deal closed on January 1, 2018.
G&T operates facilities in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Ningbo, China.
