After the series of charter and brokerage shows over recent weeks in Barcelona, Palma, Nafplion and Bodrum the European summer events programme continues with the Vesilia Rendezvous in Viareggio and London On-Water starting today.

Vesilia Yachting Rendezvous is holding its second edition running May 10-13, 2018 based around the docks at Viareggio. Organised by Nautica Italiana and Feira Milan, this event was first held last year as a new exhibition at the start of the Mediterranean summer season. It also aimed to complement the Genoa show held in September so that the large Italian yachting industry was well presented internationally.

For its second edition Vesilia Yachting Rendezvous sees an increase in the number of exhibitors (170 compared to 117 last year) and a small increase in the number of boats and yachts, from 85 in 2017 to just under 100. While presented as an international event the exhibitors are primarily from the Italian yachting industry. Having said that, it has attracted many of the leading Italian builders includingwith the likes of Azimut Benetti; Sanlorenzo, Ferretti group, Baglietto (with CCN Cerri and Bertam), Fincantieri, Codecasa, Canados (with ISA), Overmarine and Perini Navi.

Complementing the strong group of builders are a wide range of supporting companies in the services, engines, equipment and accessories areas. The is a programme of conferences and social events which include a Nautica Italiana Design Conference entitled ‘How to change the living on land and on board’ and a Bureau Veritas event looking at the critical factors and opportunities in terms of taxation in the nautical sector.

The London On-Water show sees a significant increase in size for 2018 with around 160 exhibitors and brands represented both at stands and boats afloat. Being held May 10-12, 2018 at St Katharine’s Docks marina in central London, for the first time it includes a large floating village which provides much for space for exhibitor stands.

With the brands on show it provides visitors with a wide range of international brands and it also includes a global launch of the Britannia 74 model by the Discovery Yachts Group. Among the brands being exhibited are Amel Yachts; Azimut, Bakri Cono, Beneteau brands such as Lagoon and Prestige, Discovery Yachts’ brands, Chris Craft, Dufour Fleming, Galeon, Grand Soleil, Gunfleet, McConaghy Boats, Oyster and Sundeck.

With this being a boat show with lifestyle additions it also includes yacht charters with the likes of Dream Charters, Sunsail and The Moorings; plus properties, marina berths and a cars and motorbike showcase.
