Yachts Miami Beach has changed its name to the Miami Yacht Show @ Collins Avenue. According to the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA), the change reflects the event’s position as one of the world’s premier luxury in-water yacht shows.
Next year's event, which runs from February 15-19, will be the 30th edition of the show, which is organised by IYBA and produced by Show Management. It will feature displays of the newest yachts and superyachts offered by some of the world’s leading shipyards, yacht brokers and charter agents, as well as a host of marine engines, electronics, accessories and services.
“We believe this name change further establishes the Miami Yacht Show @ Collins Avenue as a premier, stand-alone event catering to the international yachting market,” says IYBA president Paul Flannery. “It also reflects the many changes and improvements visitors will find at the show in 2018.”
The in-water-only display of new and pre-owned vessels will cover more than 1.2 million square feet of space on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. The 2018 Miami Yacht Show @ Collins Avenue will also feature a new look and layout.
The new layout will highlight the show’s picturesque waterfront location along Indian Creek Waterway as attendees enter through five artfully designed show entrances, each with attractive navigational graphics and information booth.
The yachts on display will be rearranged into dedicated new and brokerage sections. The show also once again will include the Superyacht Miami location at the Island Gardens Deep Harbour Watson Island marina, which has been enhanced to accommodate deep-draft vessels up to 500ft in length.
