Boutique brokerage house Yachtzoo has announced its latest expansion at the Monaco Yacht Show. This includes a new London office and broker appointments.

Setting up in London will give Yachtzoo its sixth global location. Two leading brokers, Neil Hornsby and Amanda Armstrong, have been appointed to run the new base.

The new office is located in London’s key business area, the ‘Square Mile’. It joins Monaco, Ft Lauderdale, Tokyo, Croatia, Montenegro and New Zealand in making up Yachtzoo’s global network.

According to Yachtzoo, Hornsby and Armstrong have a combined yachting experience of over four decades with globally-respected reputations within the yacht broking sector.

“The expansion to include an operation in London is a significant landmark for Yachtzoo, which this year celebrated its 10th anniversary," says founding partners Paola Scalabrino, Kirsten Ringsing, Darrell Hall and Chris Richardson.

"Having a physical presence in one of the most popular cities for our clientele will be of huge benefit to them, and the combined brokerage expertise that Amanda and Neil bring to the team is outstanding.”

Armstrong has been active in yachting since 2000 and spent seven years as a charter manager before focusing on retail charter space a decade ago. She has a well-rounded knowledge of the entire yacht charter process, from the perspective of charterers as well as owners and captains.

As for Hornsby, he brings experience and success in the charter business that spans more than 25 years. He has worked with some of the biggest names in yacht brokerage, playing an instrumental role in establishing and developing their charter divisions.

For the last 17 years, Hornsby has been retail charter director for a leading yacht brokerage firm.
