New Zealand-based Yachting Developments Ltd (YDL) has announced the signing of a new superyacht order, with work set to commence in the first quarter of 2018.
Hull 1017 is a 33m (109ft) all-carbon fast sportsfisher design that boasts sleek and sporty lines and will feature full carbon epoxy construction to achieve improved weight and performance. Naval architecture and design are by New Zealand design house Warwick Yacht Design.
“We are proud to have signed this exciting new project and look forward to collaborating with the Warwick Yacht Design office and their repeat client to bring this custom superyacht build to life,” says Ian Cook, managing director of Yachting Developments.
The yacht will be powered by a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M96L 2000hp engines at 2350rpm.
Yachting Developments specialises in custom-build projects, including the world’s largest all-carbon sportsfisher, the 39.5m Hull 1015, launched in November 2017 and the 27.4m Satu, launched in 2012.
