The US-based electric outboard specialist has launched a series of electric boat packages

Electric outboard motor specialist Pure Watercraft recently announced the launch of a series of complete electric boat packages, in addition to just outboards, encompassing a pontoon boat, a bass fishing boat, and a rigid inflatable boat.

Branching out into boat construction was, according to company founder Andrew Rebele, a move designed to ease the adoption of electric watercraft. “These offerings make it easy for someone to choose a complete system, with the confidence of knowing that everything fits together well, and serves the purpose they intend,” he says.

“Pontoon boats and fishing boats are now the top categories of boat sold in the USA, and rigid inflatables are the boats most often used as tenders on yachts.”

The news comes not long after Pure Watercraft announced it had secured US$23.4m of funding, enabling it to expand both its development team and manufacturing capacity.
