Australia’s motoryacht builder Riviera has announced that its new 6000 sport yacht will have her world premier at Sydney International Boat Show. The event is scheduled to run from July 31 to August 4, 2014.

“The new 6000 Sport Yacht will certainly impress the boating aficionado with her sleek external styling featuring a solid and robust hull with large hull windows standard to every cabin,” comments Riviera’s chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst.

The new 6000 Sport Yacht was built for entertaining with an aft galley with awning window that opens the generous cockpit and provides plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. At the rear of the cockpit and to centre is an external wet bar with sink, ice maker, drawer fridge and twin barbecues.

The cockpit also features a large GRP fibreglass sunroof that extends over the seating area to provide protection from the elements but can also be opened to bring sunlight into the alfresco entertaining area.

Standard power in the 6000 Sport Yacht is the new-generation and fuel-efficient twin Volvo IPS 950s (533kW / 2 x 725hp) pod drives featuring forward-facing, counter-rotating propellers. IPS offers an impressive power-to-weight ratio and torque, higher top-end speed and, in the case of Riviera’s 6000SY, delivers a top speed of over 30 knots under full load conditions, carrying 2650L fuel and 750L water.

In addition, the Sydney International Boat Show would also mark the Sydney premiere of the new 515 SUV, which made her world debut at the Riviera Festival of Boating in May.

The 515 SUV is the third generation in Riviera’s cross-over SUV range which combines the high-performance, bluewater cruising and fish-raising abilities of the classic Riviera Flybridge with the single-level leisurely entertaining features of the very popular Sport Yacht series.

Riviera offers 15 different models from 10.9m-22.8m (36ft-75ft) across three model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht and the new SUV collection.
