The 56m (183.7ft) sailing yacht ‘Bayesian’ (ex ‘Salute’), arrived at Palma de Mallorca in early June to undergone refit works. RSB Rigging Solutions demasted the 74m rig to refit her masts and rigging.

RSB Rigging Solutions has demasted the 74m rig of the Perini Navi-built Bayesian (ex Salute). The operation was carried out the day following her arrival in Palma de Mallorca in early June.

Commenting on the operation, RSB founder Steve Branagh says: “The team we have built over the years is capable of handling all situations, acting fast to find solutions for any mast, rigging, and rope related issues.

“These qualities, and the experience gained from years of working with large superyachts, are why we are continually approached by the captains of sailing yachts like Bayesian. We have now unstepped her 74m rig and have begun to refit their masts and rigging.”

Astilleros de Mallorca is project managing the refit for Bayesian whilst her rig is out.

This is the second headlining project for a Perini Navi-built yacht that RSB Rigging and Astilleros de Mallorca have worked on together recently.

RSB Rigging Solutions has been providing a complete service for the maintenance, refit and repair of masts and associated hardware since 2005.

The company also services or replaces both nitronic and composite standing rigging and have completed a large number of composite rigging retrofits in Palma.

As a European agent for Southern Spars, RSB deals with a vast majority of service and warranty work on both the masts and the EC6 composite rigging. The firm has a large running rigging and rope department onsite capable of servicing customers both locally and worldwide.

In the last three years RSB has also targeted the motoryacht market and have built mooring lines, tow lines and tender lifting systems as well as external access systems for wash downs for a large number of motoryachts.
