Tiara Yachts’ engineers and designers in the US have introduced the first plan, profile and layouts of the all-new Q 44.

The adventure yacht, first revealed as a ‘concept’ during the 2015 Miami International Boat Show, has come to life with real lines in the form of renderings.

Offering a generous amount of open space, the Q 44 has more outdoor entertainment for family and friends. The project is designed around the Tiara 44 Coupe hull. However, the luxurious interior living spaces are traded for more wide open deck and exterior seating while the overnighting features below are softened a bit.

“This new Tiara Yacht is built to expand the latitudes of what you can do on the water and enhance the yachting experience. The outdoor entertaining and socializing were first and foremost in mind when we engineered this new DayYacht,” says Tom Slikkers, president of Tiara’s parent company, S2 Yachts.

The single-level deck has a designated island galley in the cockpit all the way to the bow. The bridge deck opens to the cockpit and features two electrically actuated sliding doors port and starboard. The doors, when closed, provide weather protection from the elements during the run to and from your destination and allow guests to freely move throughout the bridgedeck, cockpit space and bow areas. The exterior can accommodate a large group of people.

“The average Tiara Yacht customer and many competitive brand customers are using their boats differently today. The Q 44 appeals to this emerging marketplace and provides dedicated space and storage for all the toys that come along with day-yachting today. There is a dedicated storage system designed for paddle boards, kayaks, bicycles and other toys, it is a very appealing design,” says Leon Slikkers, chairman, S2 Yachts.

Hull number one of the Q 44 will be powered by Volvo Penta’s IPS system, complete with joystick driving and glass cockpit. It will also be available with straight drives featuring joystick docking at a later date. Performance is expected to match that of the Tiara 44 Coupe.

The Q 44 is expected to debut in early August at the Tiara Yachts Corporate Yachting Center.
