Fairline Boats has announced a sponsorship agreement with the Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team, the White Helmets, as the team kicks off its highly anticipated 2014 tour across the UK.

In its 88th year, the White Helmets team is famous around the world for its spectacular feats of balance, death-defying crossover rides and daring acrobatics. Wearing their Royal Signals uniform and signature white helmets, the team perform pyramid lifts, jump ramps and even navigate burning hay bales on their Triumph motorcycles.

The Oundle-based boatbuiler will be a main sponsor of the White Helmets, providing financial support for the team of 25 regular soldiers in 2014.

Kevin Gaskell, Fairline Boats CEO, comments: “We are very excited to be sponsoring the White Helmets Association at the start of their packed season of motorcycle events. The courage, daring and talent of these men are incredible and as a British brand, Fairline Boats is committed to supporting the best that this country has to offer. We wish the White Helmets team a brilliant season and look forward to following their progress.”

Commenting on the sponsorship, Captain Richard Carr, team captain of the White Helmets, says: “We would like to say a big thank you to Fairline Boats for their sponsorship this year. As a team, we rely solely on our wonderful sponsors for financial support, so it’s fantastic to have secured the backing of such a prestigious British brand. We’re really looking forward to the tour ahead and have been working hard on perfecting stunts and routines that will keep our audiences on the edge of their seats!”
